Orthopedics is a fascinating and
rewarding field in which we can often
make an immediate improvement in a
patient’s life by alleviating pain and
restoring function through a multitude
of both conservative and surgical
means. Working with Dr. Kang allows me
the opportunity to manage problems
primarily involving the intricate
designs of the elbows, wrists and hands;
which are both fascinating to observe
and critically important to everyday
life. In light of this, we afford each
patient adequate time to address the
concerns presented to us, in order that
they may feel comfortable as an active
participant in their own care.
Chris Carrier, PA-C, ATC began working
with Dr. Kang at Peninsula Orthopaedic
Associates (POA) in July 2007. He
graduated from Messiah College with a
Bachelor of Arts in Sports Medicine in
1999. After working as a Certified
Athletic Trainer (ATC) for five years in
the high school and professional sports
arenas, he returned to Rochester
Institute of Technology, where he
continued to work as an athletic trainer
while completing his physician assistant
education, graduating in 2007. Chris is
board certified by the National
Commission on Certification of Physician
Assistants, as well as by the National
Athletic Trainers' Board of
Certification. He is a member of the
American Academy of Physician Assistants
and is also a member of the National
Athletic Trainers' Association.
Chris is married to a great and very
patient woman, and is the proud father
of one rough and tumble baby boy. He
enjoys spending time with his family,
watching and playing sports, playing
guitar and building computers in his
free time.
